If you use one of the following tools to create an object, it will have Dynamic Geometry that can be editted:
· Extrusion
· Sweep
· Double Sweep
· Ruled Surfaces
· Coons and Gordon
Surfaces
· Smoothing
Depending on how an object has been made, it can have up to four finishing levels:
Finishing
level |
Description |
![]() 1 |
Circle, Polyline… |
Smoothed structure
|
Smoothing, interpolation,
approximated structure. The interpolated Curve tool creates smoothed structures directly. |
![]() 3 |
Object made from a smoothed
structure or not. The construction can be made from one of the following tools: Extrusion Sweep Double Sweep Ruled Surfaces Coons and Gordon Surfaces The “3D Primitives” and “Text” tools create rough objects directly, but they don’t have a finishing level lower than 3. |
Smoothed object 4 |
Smoothed rough object |
You can choose to work on any finishing level of an object. The higher levels will be affected by modifications to the lower ones.
In the
object’s “Information” dialog, a button allows you to delete the Dynamic
Geometry of the current object: “Convert to Mesh” (see User Manual/ Modeling
help tools/ Control Panel/ Information).
